June is Lipedema Awareness Month, and Lympha Press will offer patients and medical professionals many opportunities to be educated and inspired.
On Thursday, June 10th at 12:30 PM EST, Dr. Karen Herbst will present “Mind, Body, & The Matrix.” Lipedema is a chronic and, in many cases, progressive disease. Over 25% of those diagnosed struggle with depression. Dr. Herbst will explore the mind/body connection and how stress affects the extracellular matrix, which is the support system for all body functions.
The monthly Lipedema Patient Roundtable will celebrate Lipedema Awareness Month with giveaways and special guest appearances by top lipedema social influencers and medical professionals. This special edition marks the one-year anniversary of the popular Roundtable, which is sponsored by Lympha Press on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 8 PM EST. “Our commitment to helping those with or those who treat lipedema is year-round,” noted Eric Ansart, President. “We know the importance of community and connection, and are proud to offer opportunities every month for patients and healthcare professionals to engage in a positive way.”
Lympha Press offers the Optimal Plus pneumatic compression device, which was the first pump cleared by the FDA for the treatment of lipedema in the United States. “It’s gratifying to hear real testimonies from patients who have experienced reduced pain, increased mobility, size reduction, and even the elimination of fat pads after using their Optimal Plus,” added Brenda Viola, VP of Marketing and Communications. “Increasing awareness to this condition and informing patients that there are effective methods to manage it brings much-needed hope to this underserved population.”
