Main Line Chamber Announces Business Leadership Awards

Published: 13 May, 2013

Wayne, PA – The Main Line Chamber of Commerce will host A Celebration of Business Leadership on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at The Desmond Hotel & Conference Center in Malvern, PA.  The event will salute this year’s business leaders and the Leadership Main Line (LML) graduating class as they receive recognition for the results they have achieved in leading their businesses and communities to new heights.

At the event, Medical Solutions Supplier’s Public Relations Team Leader and former Public Information Officer for Lower Merion Township, Brenda Viola, will be honored with the prestigious F. Karl Schauffele Community Service Award.  “This is a tremendous honor in light of the lasting contributions Karl Schauffele made to the Main Line Community, and the inspiring legacy of service that the previous winners share,” remarked Viola.  Viola was a 2004 graduate of the Chamber’s Leadership Main Line Program, and credits it with encouraging her community involvement.  “Our class project was intended to shine a light on the volunteer firefighters that selflessly service the Main Line Community.  Raising awareness of the challenges they face, primarily recruitment and retention of volunteers, turned out to be more than a class project, but rather an enduring mission that was embraced by The Main Line Chamber Foundation.”  Viola has been a member of the Foundation’s Board since 2010.  Hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships have been awarded to volunteer firefighters, with $39,000 – the highest amount yet – to be awarded in 2013.

This award marks the second consecutive year that Medical Solutions Supplier has been honored in this manner by The Main Line Chamber of Commerce.  The Emerging Leader of the Year Award was presented to Joseph Carberry, Executive Team Leader in 2012.
