Supermicrosurgical reconstruction is changing the way the medical world views and approaches treatments for lymphedema. Patients once deemed “incurable” now have options, thanks to new supermicrosurgical techniques. 

Dr. Wei F. Chen shares his thoughts on innovative lymphedema procedures, including supermicrosurgery. He is a clinical professor and serves as attending plastic surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Chen completed advanced microsurgical training at the world-renowned Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan and is one of approximately eight plastic surgeons performing supermicrosurgical reconstruction in the U.S.
