Improving Outcomes Before Lymphatic Surgery with Decongestive Therapy and Intermittent Pneumatic Compression with Dr. Corrado Campisi and Elena Parodi

Published: 17 April, 2023

Achieving maximal edema reduction before lymphatic microsurgery is important for the best surgical outcomes. Professor Corradino Campisi, along with his son Dr. Corrado Campisi, are pioneers in lymphatic microsurgery, and patients travel to the Campisi Clinic in Genoa, Italy, from all over the world for multiple lymphatic-venous anastomosis (MLVA) surgery as well as other procedures.

In preparation for MLVA surgery at the Campisi Clinic, each patient undergoes intensive inpatient decongestive therapy to maximally reduce edema volume before surgery.

At this webinar, we’ll hear firsthand from Dr. Corrado Campisi about the Campisi Method for MLVA surgery. We’ll also learn from Elena Parodi, lead lymphedema therapist at the Campisi Clinic, about a new clinical trial showing the benefits of advanced intermittent pneumatic compression (Lympha Press® Optimal Plus) when added to conservative decongestive therapy methods of prehab in preparation for MLVA surgery.
